One of the Reasons Why I Love This Country
I went to school yesterday looking for my principal because I needed her to sign my vacation request form. She wasn't there, but as I was walking home, I ran into her and her husband who were just leaving one of the shops. She invited me to her house, which was right down the road from mine, so I of course agreed. Not only did I come home an hour later with the signature I needed, but also with a bottle of homemade apricot juice, a jar of homemade cherry juice, cucumbers, carrots, and a promise for more when I come back again. Ten years from now, when I look back on this whole experience I'm not going to remember the language struggles, the cultural struggles, the water restrictions...I'm going to remember these moments.

Shaynee,
St. Theresa is known as the Saint of the Little Ways. Meaning she believed in doing the little things in life well and with great love. How very appropriate that she still lies resting and watching within and over Macedonia.
Love,
Mom
